I just recieved back a 50 foot roll of K-40super-8 I sent to Roger for transfer. He used his new SNIPER DV8 unit. It looks GREAT!! I didn't know it could look so good in the transfer! The closest thing I can compare the quality to is that it's like viewing the film when projected, with practically no "transfer" look. It still looks like the film I shot. I still can't believe it. I've watched it over and over a few times now. This is by far the best transfer I've ever had done. I'ts very sharp too. I can even see the very fine K-40 film grain.

    Hello

If I sent you some (about 500 foot) footage from the UK, would you be able to transfer it and send back on miniDV?
In other words do you do international orders?

    Thanks

I have yet to include pics of the new Sniper unit on my site but I have updated the transfer section as well as the order form. We now have a flat rate of $20 per 50 feet with no minimum and we prep all film. I am working out a discount for quantities over 1000 feet but haven't homed in on a pricing structure. For now, it's just $20 per 50 feet and the customer provides tape stock and return shipping.

    Hello eddie,
I recently looked in to having super 8 transferred to Pal format mini dv or dvd - I found this chap in finland who offers a transfer service. his site is http://www.sorb-i-tol.com/transfer8mm.html & email - [email protected]
I have not used his service yet, but plan to in the future.
He uses one of moviestuff's workprinter machines set up to transfer to pal format mini dv or dvd. check out his site.
